Top 5 Travel and Local Android Apps in Costa Rica: Q1 2024

During Q1 2024, the top 5 travel and local apps on the Android platform in Costa Rica showed varying trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Airbnb saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 7.6K in early January and dropping to 3K by the end of March. Active users also decreased from 49.4K to 41.1K during the same period.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced fluctuating download numbers, with a high of 4.4K in the second week of January and a low of 1.2K in mid-February. Active users showed a more stable pattern, ranging from 62.6K at the beginning of the quarter to 47.9K by the end of March.

Google Earth maintained relatively stable download numbers, fluctuating between 1.1K and 1.5K throughout the quarter. Active users started at 11.2K in early January, peaked at 12.1K in mid-February, and ended at 11K by late March.

Volaris showed a significant spike in downloads in late January and early February, reaching up to 2K downloads. However, downloads dropped to around 400 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 3.7K in late January and decreasing to 1.7K by the end of the quarter.

Mobile Number Locator had a peak in downloads in mid-January at 1.5K, with a notable drop to 283 in early March. Active users increased steadily, starting at 5.4K in early January and reaching 7.4K by the end of March.
